A (my?) creative process

A sketch of Emma’s creative process, as created during a workshop in Turku (Finland) as part of Keðja 2019 facilitated by Barbara Simonsen (DK) and Susanne Næss Nielsen (NO).

Image Description:

A television and newspaper feed into a stomach.
In that stomach there are lots of question marks and a note that says Start (Again?)
Some of the question marks travel through a colon into the bin.
Others travel through path that reads Excitement - Jokes - Research and then find their way to a giant brain that includes punctuation which could indicate either expression or swearing!
This is joined by an arrow to a note split into quadrants reading: Space, Time, Money, Support.
Arrows then lead to a person hiding under a blanket looking worried.
Multiple paths lead from this person.
- A pathway leading to telephone that then returns to the person.
- A pathway leading back and forth to a mountain with someone cycling up and down it.
A path also leads to a person hanging from the hands of a clock, and then on to an arm showing off its muscles, and onto a set of over stimulated eyes. These eyes have several paths leading back and forth to the person.
Two additional paths follow from the eyes.
- One path leads to success and leads back to the the note reading Start (Again?) or to an image of two pints of beer clinking. This path follows on to a note reading What Now?
-
The second leads to note reading Failure which tracks either back to the worried person under the blanket or to a person in a rocking chair, looking over the whole image and thinking.
